Expanding Clean Energy Access in Underserved Chicago Communities

October 4, 2024, Rockford, IL – SOL POWER MIDWEST LLC proudly announces its selection as an Approved Vendor for the Bright Neighborhoods initiative, a groundbreaking program aimed at bringing clean energy access to income-eligible residents in Chicago’s West Side neighborhoods, including Austin, Humboldt Park, East and West Garfield Park, and North and South Lawndale.

This initiative, led by Elevate Energy, focuses on providing sustainable and affordable renewable energy solutions to underserved communities. By fostering energy equity and workforce development, the Bright Neighborhoods initiative aims to transform the clean energy landscape and promote economic growth in historically underfunded areas.

SOL POWER’s participation aligns seamlessly with its EquiESCO Clean Jobs Program, which offers energy-saving solutions, electrification, renewable energy generation, and EV charging infrastructure tailored to equity-eligible communities. This program emphasizes the dual goals of promoting energy efficiency and creating local jobs in the clean energy sector.
