Join the Equity Eligible Contractors (EEC) Coalition in Advancing Equity and Clean Energy

The Equity Eligible Contractors Coalition (EEC Coalition) is a newly formed Illinois limited liability company dedicated to workforce and business development. Our mission is to create pathways for equity-eligible contractors and organizations to collaborate with EEC-certified Approved Vendors, ensuring their active participation in the Illinois Clean Energy Economy.

We are focused on empowering Equity Eligible Persons (EEPs) by providing access to union labor positions, prevailing wage opportunities, and ownership of EEC-certified businesses. Our vision is to build a diverse, equitable, and inclusive “green collar” workforce that drives the expansion of the clean energy sector, starting in Illinois with plans for national growth.

The EEC Coalition is actively seeking members who are committed to advancing BIPOC communities and supporting environmental justice individuals. By joining us, members will play an essential role in ensuring that historically underserved communities benefit from the rapidly growing clean energy economy.

We are currently working on the following initiatives:

Our long-term goal is to create lasting opportunities that go beyond immediate job creation. We aim to foster a sustainable economy where BIPOC communities and environmental justice individuals are at the forefront of the clean energy transition.
